Challenge Ingredient: Apples

This week we are featuring apples. Apple season is in full swing. They seem to herald in the Autumn season. In fact, just the other day I was feeling the autumn spirit and bought a jug of apple cider to celebrate this beautiful time of year. (granted, everything looks the same in Arizona, but let's just pretend, shall we?)

Apples are so versatile. To give you a little inspiration, here is a Blisstree.com post Janelle found called
"12 Fabulous Apple Recipes"
that we can use as a kind of jumping off point in our apple adventures.

And, for those of us inspired by music, here is a clip from Disney's Johnny Appleseed.

I'm excited to see all the recipes you use with apples. Let's try to get a lot of participation this week. You can post a recipe you've made before, as long as you make it this week. And don't forget...it's not too late to post your cumin recipes. Happy cooking!

Yes! We have so many apples from our tree that I'm set for this week. I'm back in the game after batling the first three moneths of pregnancy. Still sick, but realizing I probably should be feeding my family.

We survived off of Stouffer's food the first 3 months of my pregnancy with DS. Yay for employee discounts ... lol. Glad you're feeling a bit better, even if it's only enough to feed the fam.
